Pray for Our Country and Our Leaders

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that, my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

Funny Stories

So it's been a while since I posted any stories about the kids. Of course there are some! I just have no brain power lately to compile them all. I'm hoping, as I type this, that some of them will come to me.

The first that I'm remembering (and you're warned that this might not translate as well without Aiden there to demostrate) is a story from the last time we went to the doctor. I was alone with all 3 children. It was a blast, even though they were sick, because they are soooooo funny. First of all, Carsenhad to tell everyone she saw that she was sick because the 'frew up,' at 'Nandos.' Translation....she threw up at Fernandos mexican restaurant....in DECEMBER! But she associates anytime she is sick with the time she up-chucked at Fernandos. I had to explain to everyone, including the doctor, that she was not acutally throwing up this visit.

Then, Aiden had to tell Dr. Edwards that it was the girls' birthday this month. (this was in May) Dr. Edwards was so sweet and played along.
"They have the same birthday?" Dr. Edwards asked Aiden.
"Yes. They do. They're twins." Aiden replied, very matter of fact, but slightly sarcastic.
"They're twins?" Dr. Edwards kept going, "Well, what does that mean?"
This was the best part.
Aiden took his hand and drew a circle in the air around his head as he said, "It means they have the same FACE!" I almost lost it. So. Funny.
Then Dr. E threw him for a loop and said, "Well you have the same face, too, so what does that mean? "
Aiden looked blank, and then said, "But I am 4 and my birthday is December 13. They are going to be 3 and their birthday is March 26." He was very confident in his answer. What a smart boy!

Ok, I promise more stories to come. I will do better!
