My bestie Jenn Holley lives in Nashville and it's difficult being that far away from a such a close friend. That said, it's even harder for our kiddos, who absolutely love each other. Even though they only see each other a few times a year, they always pick right up where they left off. Jenn and I have wanted for some time to setup a web-cam so they can talk to each other, so when GoogleChat added it's videochat option, we were pumped! It took a few days for both of us to get it working right, but the payoff was priceless. The look on Aiden and the girls' faces when Maddy popped up on their screen was awesome! When they chat they talk about school, tv, dress-up, make-believe stuff and always show each other their favorite toys. It's so cute! The most recent chat was for Maddy's actual birthday, September 3rd. I took some pictures so I could share the experience with you.
Aiden is thrilled to see Maddy!
Here's what they see. That's my kids sitting on barstools with my camera blocking their faces in the lower right-hand corner. So they can also see what Maddy's seeing in that little box, but they haven't quite figured that out yet.
Here Maddy is pointing to the girls and asking which is which. "You say your name and then YOU say YOUR name!"
Aiden is showing her his Woody Cowboy. Maddy has taken a new interest in Toy Story so Aiden is showing off a little here.
This is the whole scene. Thankfully, if they're on the barstools it's pretty organized and there's no fighting for camera time. They can all be seen and heard at this angle. Trust me. I've tried a few ways, but this is the best.
Now the kids had no clue at this point, but we were already planning to go that weekend to Hernando to celebrate Maddy's 4th and Colbie's 1st birthdays. They were SO excited!!! We spend Labor Day weekend there. It was awesome. I'll post those pics in another post later.

Good times! The best was later when all your kids went off to do their own things and maddy was just sitting there saying "hello? hello?" to an empty room! ha :) miss ya'll!
